Valentine's Day Gift Guide for Her

Valentine's Day Gift Guide for Her

Hi friends! I’ve got Valentine’s Day on my mind. What to do? What to wear? What to give? When you think about your honey, you may want to give him or her the moon and stars. Those may be hard to reach, however, and more earthly things have to substitute. Here’s a guide to some of the best budget-friendly gifts to help you pick that perfect gift for your special someone. Some items are romantic, while others are more practical or fun. Note that there are more suggestions below than items pictured in the image above.

Gifts Under $50

1)  Coupon book

This is my go-to when I can't think of a physical gift for someone. What are some of your partner’s favorite treats and activities? How about being cooked a favorite meal or a week free of household chores? Write them down on small pieces of paper or index cards and wrap them up to make a book. If you prefer pre-made items, here is a pretty set of tickets for the same purpose.

2)  Framed photo of the two of you

A very simple gift, but a good one. A framed photo of the two of you is guaranteed to make your partner’s heart melt. This photo frame comes with a heart charm, and this one has romantic words.

3)  Philosophy lotion set

This Philosophy lotion set, aptly called “I Think You Are Wonderful,” is perfect for the partner who likes sweetly scented body products.

4) Amaryllis growing kit

For the partner who loves to grow things, a Red Lion amaryllis growing kit is an easy way to cultivate beautiful and romantic red flowers. I wasn't able to find a well-reviewed one online. I’ve seen a few starter kits for the amaryllis and other flowers at my nearby Whole Foods and plan on getting one for myself.

5)  Museum or show tickets

Experiences make the best gifts, or so I've been told. Is there a museum she’s been dying to visit? Or an exhibit or theater show she’s been wanting to see? In San Francisco, SFMOMA reopened last May and has been the place to be since.  It’s perfect for the modern art lover.

6)  Heart mugs

How cute is this heart mug set! Red, personalized, and perfect for your valentine.

7)  Crimson Heart Umbrella

If your girl loves big red hearts, this umbrella will brighten any rainy day.

8)  Hello Honey Tea Pot

This teapot is a sweet gift for the tea lover.

9)  Plenty by Yotam Ottolenghi

It’s hard to go wrong with a cookbook for the cook in your life. The dishes in Plenty are delicious. I’ve cooked many of them and find myself return to this book again and again.

10)  Vince Camuto Crossbody

A girl can never have too many purses or shoes. This leather mini crossbody is stylish and holds all the essentials.

11)  Fujifilm Instax Mini

Cameras like this one here are just plain fun. Use it to snap up photos of your Valentine’s Day together.

12)  CamelBak Helena 22 Hydration Pack

If your dates involve biking or hiking the outdoors, this backpack is a great choice for carrying essentials including water.

13)  Goal Digger Sweatshirt

If you’ve got an ambitious, motivated, and entrepreneurial girl, this goal digger sweatshirt is for her.

14) Love knot earrings

These love knot earrings from Macy’s are a sparkly, yet budget-friendly option for those looking to give jewelry.

15)  Fossil 'Stella' watch

A watch like this Fossil one is a classic gift with a feminine shimmery touch to it.
