Leotard Reviews

I love ballet, but finding leotards that fit and are comfortable is surprisingly difficult. A leotard can look great in stock photos and be exactly my style. Then I order it based on the brand’s size chart, and it fits terribly. I’ve encountered so many issues: too short or long in girth, straps digging into my shoulders, tight armholes, not enough bust support/coverage, sweat showing dramatically, cutting into my bottom, and more.

Every brand does sizing differently. And even within one brand, leotards of the same size can fit differently. Size charts aren’t good enough. That’s why I prefer measurements of the clothes I want to wear.

So I decided to start my own leotard review. It’s based on ballet leotards I own or try. I’ll try to include information such as

  • Brand and style

  • Size and leotard measurements

  • My opinions on fit, material, etc.

  • Photos

I don’t have many leotards. Because I find them hard to fit, I tend to prefer wearing leggings and a top to ballet class. But I’ve been frustrated not being able to find real user information and reviews when I’ve searched online, so I’m providing this here in hopes it will help other dancers.

I've organized the reviews by brand.

This review is in progress, just like my ballet wardrobe.
