One of the best ways to increase reader traffic and email subscribership is to offer a resource library. The best resource that teaches how to make a resource library is the course List Love by Jennifer Maker. Read my review here to find out if this will help you grow your blog.
When you’re a new blogger, you might be wondering how to make this whole blogging thing work to turn your brand-new blog into a successful and profitable one. You have to brainstorm blog posts, write and promote those posts, start an email list, write to your subscribers, try to increase your pageviews, etc. It can all be very overwhelming.
Do you want to be a successful profitable blogger? Then you’ve probably heard about Elite Blog Academy (EBA) by Ruth Soukup. My guess is you came across this post about EBA to read about it and see if it’s for you.
In 2018, after months of frustration trying to use Pinterest to grow From Pennies to Plenty, I decided to learn how to use it strategically. I’m happy to say that my Pinterest numbers and blog traffic have been going up. There are several reasons for this. Besides being more strategic with my pinning, I’ve been making pins that appeal to viewers.
This week I’m taking a step back from writing about the usual topics of personal finance and reselling thrifted clothes to introduce a new topic to From Pennies to Plenty, specifically blogging. Over the past 1-2 years, I’ve been growing FP2P from a hobby blog into a profitable business. This is consistent with my ever-growing love of side hustles and entrepreneurship.
Pinterest. As a blogger, just hearing that word conjures up strong emotions. Some bloggers love Pinterest while others hate it. Most bloggers know that Pinterest can drive insane amounts of traffic to your site. What blogger wouldn't want that? But getting yourself established on Pinterest to the point that you're bringing in those big numbers, well, that can be maddening.
Earlier this week I woke up from a dream that it was early 2019 and my blog was growing. I remember how happy I felt that I had a system in place for growth and was seeing my blog-related numbers rise all around. Honestly though, I’m not sure if I dreamed it or I imagined it to be true using the power of positive thinking. Whatever it was, I take it as inspiration and a positive premonition for the coming year.
Have you ever attended an event that left you feeling brain filled and soul filled? A few weeks ago, I attended Activate – EBA Live, a conference for bloggers to grow their blogs into businesses. I loved every moment of it so much that I decided to come home and share my thoughts and impressions of the conference with you.
In June, I had the chance to go to HustleCon 2018 in Oakland, CA. HustleCon is an annual one-day conference for start-up entrepreneurs. Founders of successful companies share their personal stories and give advice on how to start and grow a business.
It’s my blog anniversary! This spring marked the one-year anniversary of From Pennies to Plenty. I don’t know exactly when it passed the one-year mark. Is it when I bought the domain name or the day I published the first post? Nonetheless, I crossed the year mark about a month or two ago.
