Earlier this year, my husband and I planned our out-of-town wedding and got married in less than six weeks! While engagements of over a year are commonplace and sometimes even necessary in order to have the wedding you want nowadays, short engagements have their benefits too. Are they easy to plan? No, but they’re not impossible. And when you know you want to be married, why wait any longer to become husband and wife?

Since then, I’ve had several more tips on my mind and want to share them here today.
Over Super Bowl weekend, my friends shared some sad news with me. Their dog Micky was gravely sick. Micky had leptospirosis, a potentially serious bacterial disease, and his liver and kidneys were failing. After visiting a few local veterinarians, Micky’s only option was to transfer to the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital to receive dialysis.

The weather this weekend was sunny with just a bit of evening rain, perfect for the first weekend of spring. Now that I’ve gotten a glimpse of the good weather coming to us, I can’t wait to get out some of my warm weather clothes. My closet is currently full of sweaters and long-sleeve shirts. I know I’m not the only one with a bunch of clothes hidden in the back or high upon the shelves too.
